Ash Ketchum is the central protagonist of the long-running Japanese anime series, Pokémon. He is a young aspiring Pokémon Master from Pallet Town in the Kanto region. Ash's journey begins on his tenth birthday, the age at which children are permitted to become Pokémon Trainers.
Initially, Ash hoped to receive a Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle from Professor Oak. However, due to oversleeping, he arrives late and is given a stubborn Pikachu as his starter Pokémon. Their relationship starts rocky, but they quickly form an unbreakable bond, becoming inseparable partners throughout Ash's adventures.
Throughout the series, Ash travels across various regions, competing in Pokémon League tournaments with the goal of becoming a Pokémon Master. He collects gym badges, battles other trainers, and encounters numerous legendary and mythical Pokémon. He is known for his unwavering optimism, determination, and strong belief in the bonds between Pokémon and humans.
After 25 seasons, Ash finally achieved his lifelong goal of winning a major Pokémon League, becoming the World Champion in the Pokémon World Coronation Series.
